Sicily is one of the most popular destinations for a wedding in Italy!

The island is magical: the perfect backdrop for a unique wedding. Each season in fact offers different scenarios and many possibilities. I am aware of the curiosity around this topic and in this first blog article I hope to give some answers to all future spouses who want a “Destination Wedding in Sicily”.

How much does a wedding in Sicily cost?

As with any other destination there is no fixed price, everything depends solely and exclusively on your choices such as location, suppliers, the number of guests and, above all, the number of days that will make your event unique. The advantage of relying on a Wedding Planner? To save time!

Couples do a lot of research nowadays about their wedding destination and the questions are so many. If you are looking for help planning your wedding, something tailored to your needs, you should first determine a budget and then look for the best solutions.

Where can I get married in Sicily?

When it comes to wedding locations in Sicily, an inexhaustible scenario opens up! Yes, because at our… or rather “at your disposal” simply spoiled for choice. The places to mention would be many, but here are the “Top Ten” of the most emblematic places on the island:

Taormina : refuge for artists, in a panoramic position between the sea and the mountains, is a refined town, which holds splendid treasures, such as its incredible Greek Theater.

Ragusa Ibla : is the oldest district of the city of Ragusa, which rises from the top of the hill between the Iblei mountains, and which boasts more than fifty churches and noble palaces

Cefalù : with its imposing Norman Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Aeolian Islands : seven islands, one different from the other, with dream beaches and coves and two active volcanoes.

Syracuse and the island of Ortigia : an extraordinary city of art with one of the largest archaeological areas in the Mediterranean

Palermo : from the Norman to the Arab style, from the Greek to the Spanish testimonies, the regional capital is a melting pot of cultures.

Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples : a popular destination thanks to its perfectly preserved archaeological park, the largest in the world

Noto : undisputed capital of Sicilian Baroque, with an artistic heritage of exceptional churches and palaces

Lampedusa : boasts a splendid sea and beautiful beaches, such as Isola dei Conigli, classified among the most beautiful in the world

Marzamemi : small and charming seaside town. Its Tonnara is one of the most important in all of Sicily, and dates back to the time of Arab domination.

How many days should i spend in Sicily?
I recommend planning at least a weekend. Arriving a couple of days before the wedding will allow you and your guests to rest and enjoy the surrounding environment by getting into the right atmosphere.

A wedding weekend in Sicily with family and friends is the best way to celebrate!

This type of wedding is becoming more and more popular with couples all over the world, and we could plan some wonderful and interesting activities, maybe a Pizza Party the night before or a Brunch in the pool the next day [awsomeicon value=”fas fa-smile”]
